Tornados in the surrounding towns

I got home for going grocery shopping and about an hour after I had gotten home the sirens in town went off. Sometimes it is stupid but they go off for a thunderstorm watch. I didn't even look bad out, it looked like it was going to rain but not storm. Luckily, I turned to one of the local stations and it said there was a tornado Warning for the county that I live in. I live in a one bedroom apartment, on the top floor. I was not about to stay there when a tornado goes through so I went to Ryne's parents house. Cammie was laugh because every time it storms that is where I go. I can't help it but I don't want to die alone.

Homecoming 2007

Yesterday was homecoming here at Penn. The game went along well. at half time the score was 17-7. You would have thought that Penn had the game under control. By the end of the 4 quarter the game was tied up at 31-31. Who wants to lose their homecoming game? No one. We took offense first and Willie kick about a 45 yard field goal. The defense came out strong and caused the other team to fumble. We won!

It seems as I get older that homecoming becomes more boring. I don't know if it is because its my senior year a lot of my friends have graduated and I am not close to anyone any more because Ryne live like turtles we never come out of our shell. We always stay in. Last night, that is what we did. While everyone was out having fun. I went to be at 10. I wish I would have gotten out I feel claster phobic in my shell.

Digital Camera

I love to take pictures it brings back great memories of people, places, and things. 50 inning softball game

One of the fundraisers that he William Penn Softball Team does is play a 50 inning softball game. This is the second year that we have done this. The money that we raise helps to pay for our Spring Break trip to Arizona, where we begin out season. Since I am from Iowa its kinda hard to play in the snow. So we start our season off in a warm place. Anyway, we are starting this game at 6:00 pm tonight. Last year it took us until 10-10:30 to play. It is quite the game. We are playing returners against the newcomers. Last year the newcomers won but since they are all returners now. I think the returners will this year. Price is Right

Today in my Human Relations class we had to come up with a game about Chapter 2. This Chapter was about class stucture and SES. I came up with the game of Price is Right. Since it was about money I thought that it fit. I had questions that dealt only about money. I could have done other questions about other areas of the book but money seemed to fit. I wnet first and I think that my game was pretty successful. Play were laughing and cheering. I am glad that people had fun.

Didn't go as bad as I thought!

The test that I took on Monday went better then what I had expected. I get it back today and I got a B- on the thing. Usually in is his classes I get C's but I got a B- , I am moving up in the world. The test that I took today, went alright I guess. I don't know how I did on it. The interent was not working in my first class so it made it hard to study for. But I had nots from my America In the Modern World which helped.

Now I Know I am Going to Fail

I have another test to day in my other history class that I am taking. This will be interesting because when I should have been listening in class, it was too tempting get on the interent and blog, or look for blogging opportunities. I know that the test is over Teddy Roosevelt, Panama Cannel, Taft, Wilson, World War I, Treaty of Versi, Wilson's 14 pts, Child Labor, Women's rights, and that is all I think :S. I have a hour and a half, and I have class for a hour. Oh man I am screwed.

Evacuate Campus!

Yesterday, we had to evecuate campus because the college is next to a train track. The was a leak in on of the tank cars. It was Leaking HydroChloric acid so we had to evacuate the campus and go up to Penn Centrel Mall. I did not go there I went home. They had roads blocked off of where you could not get into because of the spill, and my home was not blocked off. My firend and her boyfriend went to her place which was in the area blocked off and the cops were walking around house to house telling them that they had leave their homes, and they went to my firends house. I don't know if they thught they could find from the cops or what. Anyway everyone was safe, everyone is okay, and it took a few hours for the spill to get neutralized. I however got out of practice because the softball field is right next to the tracks, and study tables because if you don't have one why have the other.

Looking for More Traffic?

I have been trying to get more people to my website and one thing that I that I did not want to do was to spend and arm and a leg. Since I have recieved so much traffic from this site, and have been on here for 6 months. I am going to try the upgrade to Pro. It is $30 a month but I can cancel if decide I don't like it or am not seeing an improvement in my traffic. I wouldn't recommend paying to anyone yet, when you can get traffic for free. Before the upgrade I was getting about 40 people a day I will keep you updated on my progress. Since I upgraded I got an automatic 2,500 credits. Plus other, advantages but I will let you know how it is going.

FreezeIt

If you read my blogs then you know that I play college softball. I am 5'6" and 110lbs so I do not have a lot of meat on me. I was unable to play last year do to a heart condition, so now that I am back I have to reconstruct my muscles and train them to do what I want them to again. Guess what? In that process I GET SORE! I normally don't do anything about it but I have gotten to the point the in order play better, to get a better work out, I need my muscles to be loose. So, I went to Wal-Mart and I saw Freeze It on the shelf. I decided to give it a try.

The first place I put this Freeze It gel was on my neck, it was sore from all that diving I have been doing. Anyway, the smell was not strong at all. Most product I have used have smelled minty and people a mile a way can smell it too. But this was so close to my nose, I couldn't smell it. It gave me a cooling senstation, which was nice so I could tell where I was putting it and the spots I missed. I can't really see the back of my neck of this was helpful. Then decied to put it on my back and my shoulder. I felt so good. I couldn't feel the pain, I forgot about it. It last so long I put in on in the morning before my game and I went I went to bed and I was still pain free. This is by far the best muscle relaxant that I have used. I know put it on every ache, every pain before practice and game. I have been paid for this post.

DId I fail?

I just got done taking a test in my American History to 1900 class. The test was over the American Revolution, Articles of Confederation, and the Declaration of Indepence. It is sad to know that I am 22 years old and I am still sketchy about the domestic affairs during the American Revolution and how our nation got built. What are teachers doing in school to teach children about their nation. Why do teachers have to make it boring? It doesn't have to be, why can't they apply it to today?

Why do we always have to hear the white man's version of it. There are different points of view such as the Native American side, the women's side. We know that women did the stay at home stuff cooking, cleaning, teaching the children, but how did they feel when the war was going on, what did they see? The Native American story doesn't get out either. They weren't fine and dandy with people coming and taking over their land. Why don't we hear about how many died, how they were torchered, how they had to change their way of living. Why don't we ever hear about the African American side of things? WHY? WHY? WHY?

Lesson Learned

Yesterday we played Krikwood and Iowa Weslyan in softball, both teams are not very good we just played poor. I had a couple good plays at second base. I dove for a little bloop behind the pitcher and I caught the ball. I tried to throw out the girl that was on third. The trow was low which was a good thing but the third baseman tried to trap the ball instead of scoop it. the ball ended up going into the dugout. I get into trouble for throwing on my knees and the third baseman got into trouble for trying to trap the ball. Later there was a girl on second, ground ball it up the middle and I made a driving stop. I tried to throw the girl out at first couldn't make it there in time, and the girl on second scored. I got in trouble for that too. Sometimes it is better to hold the ball than to throw it.

Happy Birthday Krystle!

Today is my friend and teammate Krystle's birthday. She turned 20 years old. She has really cool close friends that blew her birthday up. They took her car and they wrote "happy birthday" all over it and put tampons on ther antenna, they also put pop cans draggin from the back end. At practice, we scrimmaged and she even had a happy birthday diving catch. Then her best friends bought her a cake and when we had study table in the library, we went in to one the room there and yelled suprise when she walked threw the door. Whitney, Krystle's BF, got Krystle a picture birthday cake. The picture was funny because it was one when she has gotten her wisdom teeth taken out. Krystle's checks were all puffy. The cake was good too. Happy Birthday Krystle!

I don't like being sick

I woke up this morning feeling a fine. I went to class,made it threw my first one and part way threw my second one I left class headed to my car and went home. As soon as I got home I ran into the bathroom and I will leave the rest up to your imagination. I took a nap I feel a little better but I have not eat lunc. I don't know what I am going to do for practice.

Weightlifting

I am not looking forward to lifting tonight. I know I need too and I need to gain weight. But it is just one of those days where I don't feel like doing much. I am proud of myself that I actually remembered this Sunday because last Sunday I completely forgot. One think that I don't understand is that I can lift 3 times a week and have been playing softball everyday for the last three weeks and yet my body find some muscle to be sore. When will this madness ends?!?!?!
