In the Christmas story, it was the wise men that brought Gold to the baby Jesus. As a king, it is only suited that he have riches. Gold had a such a value that it was one item that if you had it and had a lot of it you were considered rich. We today since we done exchange gold per say, exchanging the dollar had the similar concept. However, you can still buy gold. I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I doubt I will get the opportunity to blog tomorrow but I would like everyone to enjoy their Holiday. I has that we not forget about the true meaning of Christmas because without the birth of Jesus we would not have a holiday like this.

Stayin busy!

So I after my trip out to D.C., I was home for a day, had a doctor's appointment the next day and later that night I had to work at high school basketball game. I made it home to my dad's on Saturday morning before the storm came. I went to church in the white out yesterday and today, I plan on going to the Christmas Eve service at my church, and then after eating and opening presents, I will be returning to Oskaloosa tonight. Tomorrow, I will be going to Ryne's family Christmas. A day or two after that I will be headed back to my dad's because his wife, Denise, her family is headed up to Iowa from Georgia. So my break is pretty much jam pack with travel.

Accredited online university

There is one thing that I learned in school, is that there are some colleges out there that are not accredited. What that means is that even though it is a college doesn't mean they are approved by the board of education. So, you can learn it but sometimes if you are looking for a job and you attended a non-accredited college, that job may be harder to get. I'mm Baaaaack!

So I am finally back from my vacation from Washington D.C.. I had so much fun. I have a niece, Corinne, who is 4 and a nephew, Drew, who is 2. They are so adorable. I was really hard to leave them because they are just so lovable. I have a lot to write about but I do have picture to show so I will have to get those up.

Vacation

So to all those people who are looking at my blog. I on vacation in Washington D.C. visiting my family. They do not have wireless internet so I is hard for me to spend time on the internet. I will be back on the 19th.

Stuck!

I was supposed fly out to see my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew out in Washington D.C., I went to Des Moines to flyout today, but we got a Ice Storm going through. So I am sitting in my hotel room because All morning flights were cancelled. I got another flight at 3:30 but the looks of it I wont be able to fly out until tomorrow. THat stinks because then I will shorten up my time with them.

One more final

I have one more final tomorrow. It is in my American History class covering the beginning of US history to 1900. The last topic that we covered I think is Civil War. Yeah, I think I need to study because I don't even know what were are talking about. So, today I am devoting the day to studying so I am not on. You know what I am doing.

Its Snowing again, I am going Sledding

I have one test tomorrow I have to get a good grade on it I think I failed the last test. But guess what I am going to do instead of studying, yes I am blogging right now instead of studying, but no that is not what I am taking about. I am going sledding. I don't even remember the last time I went sledding. I bought some snow boots today and Ryne bought me some coveralls. I think that this winter we are going to get a lot of snow it will be well worth the purchases!

Tomorrow- First Day of Finals

Okay, so if you have viewed my Blogger's Intervention Group then you will know that I have and will put off studying doing homework to blog. Like right now I have so much stuff I could be doing and should be doing because tomorrow is the last day of two of my classes. I have a test to study for, a rational to write and a "Me" board to make. I just don't want to do it. Instead, I would rather blog. But I am excited because Monday is my last day of class until January. I have a whole month off. YES!! More time for blogging.

Traci in the Swamp

I have finally got a little time after doing some catching up with school before finals. I have only being able to view minimal blogs in the last few days. I knew I had been to her site before and I went back to see what new topics she had to write about. He her new topic is about her former vegetarian phase. World Series Tickets

America's favorite pass time is baseball. There is nothing like playing the game. Throwing, hitting, getting outs are the thrill of the sport. The only thing better than playing the sport is being at the Major League games. Everyone has their favorite team to cheer for, and the great thing about MLB is with one swing of the bat the whole game can change, and sometimes the team is that is the favorite doesn't always win. That another good thing about the MLB is that the World Series is the best of 7 games. Each team can have an at home advantage. To be at a World Series game is a memory of a life time, and it is never too early to get those world series tickets.

Christmas Gift Ideas

I was struggling to come up with Christmas gift ideas for myself. I don't like having people spend a lot of money on my presents. And if I have a price limit I would like to get more for my money. After thinking and looking,
1. TiVo- I have my favorite shows and can't watch them every week, and then when I do have time there is nothing good on. I could record my shows, and then watch them when I have time. The only down fall, A box costs $99.99 and have a monthly fee to pay for a plan Lowest Plan $12.96.

2.Palm Pilot Zire 72- I want this item to help keep track of my financial situation, and since I am a coach, it is easier to keep stats on a palm Palm than it would be to write them and then manually figure out stats. On Amazon.com , a new or used one is going for $118.


3. DVD Player- My DVD Player pooped out on my so I have been using Ryne's PS2 in one room and my Portable DVD Player in another, however I have been traveling with my Portable one alot, So, I would like a stationary one. One of these can range from $30-$220+. I also found this one on Amazon.com.


4. Surround Sound Speaker-I love to watch movies, and not only that I live next to one the main road in town so there is a lot of traffic. I was looking on Amazon.com, and for this speaker set right here it is $69.27 brand new. There are cheaper ones but the are some more expensive ones too.

Ice Storm

This is my car. I was trying to get out of my drive way. It is so icy that I backed up and couldn't move forward. I tried moving back which I could only go far, however.


I was to go to work but this is the drive I was to get my car up. Not happening. I am stuck in my apartment now until the landlord comes tomorrow to blade the drive and get salt or sand on it.

Count Down to Christmas

I can not believe that today is December 1 already. It seems like Christmas was just a couple of months ago not 12. I guess I can start a count down to Christmas. I want to do something creative for my count down but I am clueless of what I should do. Please, please, please drop me some suggestions.

Stuck Inside!

I am stuck inside today. There is an ice storm that is going through Iowa. I decided to go over to Ryne's parent's house. They are gone to Vegas, so Ryne's mom asked if I would help take care of the dogs. I didn't want to be stuck at my apartment all day so Ryne and I are spending the day with the dogs inside.

I had to scrape about few millameters of ice off my car. I hope this ice storm is not as bad as the one that we had earlier in the year.
